Experimental Research Award goes to Near East University…

In the 37th National Congress of Pediatric Surgery, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Mammadov and his team were awarded the Experimental Research Award for their studies on the use of 3D Bioprinters in the field of pediatric surgery.

According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Mammadov and his team presenting their study titled “Three Dimensional Biofabrication: Our first impressions and its potential in Pediatric Surgery” at the 37th National Pediatric Surgery Congress and 23. National Pediatric Nursing Surgery Congress held in Ankara was awarded the “Dr. İhsan Numanoğlu Experimental Research Award” given by the Association of Pediatric Surgery.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Mammadov noted the following: “In the first stage, the research must focus on the relapse hypospadias or cripple hypospadias, and in the second stage, more complicated studies will be arranged on more complex structures such as trachea and esophagus.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mammadov stating that the NEU3D Laboratory team has been working on 3D design and printing for four years, said that they are happy to receive an award along with the TurkPatent design registration and patent application, and that they are happy to receive financial and moral support from the Board of Trustees of the University and the Experimental Health Sciences Research Center.

At the same time, the study titled “Virtual Classroom and Electronic Exam Application in Pediatric Surgery Education: Our Preliminary Results” and conducted by Emil Mammadov was also presented.
