ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

She started her professional career at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, English Medicine Department in 1996 and graduated with a diploma note of 80.16/100 and has received the “medical doctor” title in 2002. Thereafter; she has started her speciality education as research assistant at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine – Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and has completed her doctoral degree with Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist diplomain 2009. Between the years 2010-2012, she has completed her compulsory service at Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Public Hospital – Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department. She has worked at North Cyprus IVF Center part time between the years 2010-2012 and full time between the years 2012-2014.She was accepted to Near East University Faculty of Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and IVF Centre as teaching staff and specialist doctor in 2014.

Dr. Özbakır was accepted to the Reproduction and Development Diploma Programme in University of Bristol in 2015. She has completed her postgraduate education on reproduction and embryonic development between the years 2015-2017and has been qualified to be the only IVF specialist who holds the Postgraduate Diploma within the professional field in Cyprus.

Besides, Dr.Özbakır took part in the studies for the revision of the law and the regulations regarding reproductive medicine with TRNC Ministry of Health and European Union coordination committeeas a specialist doctor between the years 2012-2014.

Dr. Özbakır acquired the “Assistant Professor” title from Near East University in 2017 and still continues her medical practice and studies and at Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and IVF Centre.
