Dr. Sarah Dabbas graduated from the Near East University Faculty of Medicine in 2017. As a U.S. citizen, her goal was always to train in the United States for residency. She was part of the original group of students who worked with the faculty to obtain ECFMG accreditation and NEU Faculty of Medicine successfully became a part of the World Directory of Medical Schools in 2016. After graduation, she moved back to the United States to gain clinical experience and complete her USMLE exams. She successfully matched into Internal Medicine Residency in 2020. Now she is in her final year of residency and is planning to work as a hospitalist after completion of her training.
Dr. Noor Bazerbasi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and she has been accepted for the Internal Medicine Residency Programme at the Methodist Hospital Houston-Texas-USA
Dr Khaled Harmouch graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 2021; became successful in the USMLE and he has been matched the internal medicine residency programme at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan in 2022.

I hope this email finds you well and safe. I would sincerely like to thank you for the email and kind words. They mean a lot to me. Since Day 1 at NEU, you were there for us, doing your best to help us reach our future goals, and I am extremely proud to be an NEU alumnus pursing my residency training in the United States. During my interviews, almost all program directors were curious to know more about NEU and Cyprus and I was extremely happy explaining to them about my medical and academic journey there. I matched into Internal Medicine Residency at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan.
I would be glad to guide and help our future MD graduates If they intent to come and pursue their residency training here at any time.
